The design team, led by Foster + Partners, faces new challenges but also has remarkable opportunities to transform the country's infrastructure. As someone deeply involved from the initial tender phase to the present, Krzysztof and Mateusz will share the journey of the project over the last three years and will be available to answer your questions. 🏗️🛫

About the Speakers:

Krzysztof Górnicki studied architecture at Warsaw University of Technology and Delft University of Technology, later earning a master's degree in advanced architecture from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia. Since joining Foster + Partners in 2010, he has contributed to numerous award-winning projects. Currently, he leads the Warsaw office and the CPK project, a central intermodal hub located between Warsaw and Łódź.

Mateusz Bloch holds BEng MSc from École des Ponts ParisTech and BSc MSc from Warsaw University of Technology. He is a chartered structural engineer with IStructE, and a member of AISC and ACI. Mateusz joined Foster + Partners in 2015, working on high-rise towers, award-winning retail spaces, and innovative timber construction. After gaining experience at Arup US, working on major projects such as US Embassies, a seismic-isolated hospital in San Diego, and LAX T4 expansion, he returned to Foster + Partners in 2023 to support the CPK project. His passion lies in non-conventional construction materials, spatial structures, and how computing power revolutionises construction.
